With our network of Distributors, Technical Sales Representitives, Engineers, Design Team and IT Support we are able to cater for every user, from the smallest Self-Build to the largest House Builders in the country.
Design Office
James Jones & Sons Ltd provide a comprehensive Design Service to our Distributors from our Technical and Design Office in Forres. When provided with full architectural drawings our experienced Designers can provide an engineered Floor and Roof Joist Layout complete with a full Bill of Quantities and Schedule. Traditionally our Design Team is contracted on a long term basis, but it's services are available to our customers on a day-to-day basis to help cover staff absent due to holidays or during unexpected busy periods.
Software
JJI-Joists are fully supported by two Windows based software packages, purpose written in the UK to provide fast and cost effective design solutions for today's construction industry.
In October 2005, it was decided that our software systems were an important part of our process and in order to better control the future direction the software took, James Jones & Sons Ltd decided to bring the programming team in-house.
The decision to write the software in the UK and "in-house" brings several advantages.
Firstly, the programs have been written by software and structural engineers who understand explicitly the requirements of the UK Construction Industry and the associated British Standards and Codes of Practice.
Secondly, in the unlikely event that a problem or "bug" appears, it can be quickly and effectively resolved. Equally important is the fact that future upgrades and enhancements to the programs are constantly ongoing.
Engineering Support
As a key part of our Technical Support, James Jones & Sons Ltd employ a team of qualified engineers who are able to provide a range of technical services including technical detailing and remedial advice to our distributors and their customers. Our team of engineers have also undertaken a rigourous schedule of research and development to find many new and inventive uses of the JJI-Joist.
Training
James Jones & Sons Ltd provide comprehensive software training in the use of our floor design and layout package, FloorMaster, to enable our distributors to provide a concise and accurate layout plan. This training can take place either on-site at the distributor's premises or in our dedicated Training Suite at our Technical and Design Office in Forres.
