James Jones makes life simpler for specifiers
James Jones & Sons Ltd Timber Systems Division has attained CPD accredited status from The Construction CPD Seminar Service for an initial seminar which discusses the merits of using Engineered Wood Products, particularly I-joists. It is specifically aimed at Architects and associated building professionals. Launched in mid July, the seminar has already proved a huge success, with an overwhelmingly positive response from its target audience. Due to the level of demand 21 seminars have been rolled out throughout the UK and Ireland already. James Jones will also be presenting in Seminar Room C at the Construction CPD Seminar Service RoadSeminar in the Royal National Hotel in Russell Square, Central London on the 19th November at 3.40pm (visit London Semianr CPD Registration).
Commercial Manager Mr Jonathan Fellingham explained:
"We recognised that there's a real need for factual (as opposed to promotional) information about engineered timber, so we prepared our first CPD-approved seminar, based on the wide variety of applications of I-joists throughout the construction sector."
Mr Fellingham added:
"This is the first of a series of CPD seminars we are planning and we are now developing a seminar for engineers, which we hope to launch next year."
James Jones has also developed a number of National Building Specifications for their key products and concepts - JJI-Joists, JJ-IntelliRoof, JJ-Screedflo and Glulam - which are listed on NBS Plus, the product reference and specification website, and www.jji-joists.co.uk. The NBS Plus website enables registered users to search for and copy approved product details directly into their building specifications and Bills of Quantities - a great help for busy professionals.
Jonathan Fellingham confirms:
"Really it's all about trying to make specifiers' lives just that little bit simpler; it's part of the James Jones commitment to quality and service which we've been following for over 100 years."
